‎WRONG PHILOSOPHY (Episode 9): “WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW CAN’T HURT YOU”

‎A lot of people say this: “What you don’t know can’t hurt you.” Some coined it to say "Ignorance is a bliss." Though it sounds soft and safe, but it's a big lie. Because in most cases, what you don’t know is exactly what will hurt you the most.
‎Not knowing you are sick doesn’t stop the sickness from growing. Not knowing how to use something properly doesn’t stop it from harming you. And not knowing the truth about something doesn’t mean you are free, it just means you are walking blind.
‎In the book of Hosea 4:6, God Himself said: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…”
‎Not because they don’t have strength or power, but because they don’t know.
‎Sometimes people choose to ignore the truth on purpose, because they’re afraid to deal with it. But ignorance doesn’t remove danger, it just hides it until it’s too late.
‎That’s why Proverbs 18:15 says:
‎“The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, for the ears of the wise seek it out.”
‎Some even say things like, “If I don’t know, it’s not my business” or “let me not hear, so I’ll have peace.” But that peace is fake. It’s short. And when truth finally hits, it usually hits harder.
‎Think about someone who refuses to learn how to handle money, that ignorance can lead to poverty. Or someone who doesn’t want to know God for real, that ignorance can lead to eternal loss.
‎Jesus also said in John 8:32: “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
‎He didn’t say what you don’t know will keep you safe — He said knowing the truth is what brings freedom.
‎So no, my brother and sister, what you don’t know can hurt you, and sometimes, even destroy you. Instead of running away from the truth or pretending not to care, let’s humble ourselves and seek understanding.
‎Don’t be comfortable in darkness when light is available. Open your eyes. Learn. Grow. Ask questions. Read. Pray. That’s how to truly stay safe and live wise. Because knowledge, especially the one that comes from God, is not just power. It’s protection.
‎“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” (Prov. 4:7)
