THE RACE WITHIN

In shadows cast by burdens, we may flee,

A race from problems that we hope to shun,

Yet as we run, the truth begins to stun,

Escaping strife is not the path to free.

Each step we take, the weight it multiplies,

For problems, like a shadow, closely chase,

No matter how we quicken up our pace,

They linger still, beneath the sunlit skies.

But stand and face, with courage as your guide,

The strength to overcome begins within,

A race within yourself, where all can win,

Embracing trials, in them you'll confide.

Running away from your problem

Is a race you can never win.

Don't let fear control your course,

Facing problems grants you vital force.
