THE DEATH OF CHRIST

In the epic poem of Christ's death,
A victory over death, we confess.
The cross, an instrument of pain and shame,
Became a symbol of victory and fame.

Christ, the Lord of Mankind,
Embraced his death with courage and mind.
He suffered and died for our sins,
So that we may be saved and win.

The cross, a symbol of execution,
Became a symbol of Christ's resolution.
He conquered death and sin,
And in Him, we have a new life within.

The victory of death over life,
Is now a victory of life over strife.
For Christ has risen from the dead,
And in him, we have eternal bread.

He swallowed up death forever,
And wiped away our tears with fervor.
His victory is our victory too,
For in Him, we are made anew.

So let us sing a victory song for Christ,
For he has given us a new life.
Let us praise him with all our might,
For he has won the ultimate fight.
