I wasn't like this but you are
A leopard never changes it's skin.
I wasn't right and you weren't.
So we steal of the same pot -
Sweeter for you, peppering for me.
As an old adage says so I heard,
Profiting from the business that isn't yours itself is a loss.
I heard this saying quite a lot
growing up.
Like the whitewashed tomb you mourned
In tear, icing your stinging bruises mind.
What were you thinking at first?
Engraved tombstone at last?
Never trusted so much of the fairy.
Whenever the father calls,
Mama's hot bake-fresh cookies
never lasted long enough to crumble.
So don't call me the thistle dear thorny,
Just clear the bushes and make your hut.
